Anand and Amanda’s Hindu wedding at Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop,Texas was filled with so much energy, excitement and beauty. Their colorful outdoor ceremony was situated next to a stream with vibrant flowers covering the stage and terraced seating so every guest had the perfect view. The wedding kicked off with a celebratory procession of the groom (the Baraat), his family and friends singing and dancing towards the ceremonial stage, known as the Mandap in Hindu culture. The bride wore a red sari with beautiful jewelry and intricately designed henna on her hands.
After the Indian wedding ceremony, the bride and groom shared a quiet moment together in the Hummingbird Garden to enjoy a quick bite and champagne toast, then off to the biggest dance party I’ve ever witnessed at a wedding. Amanda and Anand’s family and friends performed a wonderfully choreographed dance to a Bollywood song. The couple then joined in with some of their own fabulous moves including one of Anand capturing Amanda with his own “camera”. The couple took a brief pause from the dance floor so their family and friends could send them off with a sparkler exit. Then, you guessed it, back to the dance floor for more celebrating! Congratulations Anand and Amanda, thanks for including us in your big day!
