David and Karley’s Austin themed wedding at Barr Mansion had a romantic, vintage feel with bursts of color and creative details. Karley wore a rose embroidered wedding dress by Catherine Deane with a beautiful vintage veil worn by her mother when she was married and embellished with her grandmother’s pearls. Her bouquet consisting of white chamomile daisies, peachy pink Juliet garden roses, lavender scabiosa, yellow craspedia and white peonies paired perfectly with the bridesmaids’ floral maxi dresses by Ted Baker.
The fun reception details made it very clear that this couple is a lover of cats and all things Austin. Each table was named after well known Austin eateries… Chuy’s, Stubbs BBQ and more places that will make your mouth water. An eclectic mix of vintage glassware, dinosaur succulent planters, vintage books and colorful flower arrangements adorned each table. For dessert, the bride and groom each had their own cake with the cutest handmade cat and dragon toppers! The guests enjoyed delicious homemade limoncello favors made from Tito’s vodka and the Royal Dukes kept everyone moving on the dance floor – grandma (in her nineties) even joined in for a few songs. The fun filled night came to an end and instead of the traditional sparklers the bride opted for paper bat ribbon wands she made herself to emulate the Congress bridge bats. Such a great idea for a totally unique and very Austin exit! Congratulations Karley and David, thanks for including us in your big day!
